Modular Environment Creation for Production
In this tutorial we will look at creating highly detailed, full CG environment animation, that can be used for game cinematic, cut scenes or short films. I will walk you trough my workflow and my thought process, and we will do a deep dive in the making of my personal project “The Experiment”. This is a fully cg shot that was rendered in Arnold for Maya, and I will explain each step of the production. We will look at things like: fast and efficient block-outs, designing in 2D and 3D, subdivision modeling, scripts and plugins for faster workflow, MASH, procedural shading, texturing in Substance Painter, lighting, render settings and AOVS and Compositing in Nuke.
